I did my second period at E.P N°8 in Punta Alta, Buenos Aires. This town is located 28 km far from Bahía Blanca. I decided to do my primary practicum period there because that school already knew "Lenguas Vivas" so it was going to be easier being accepted as a trainee teacher.
The school consists of 492 students, and as regards the group of students I worked with, they were 30 learners from 6th grade B.
Working with these students was interesting as well as a challenge, given that they were, and still are, attending their last year at primary school, so they were more interesting in finishing school than in learning.
However, I designed CLIL lesson plans to work with the topic "Recycling" and fortunately, they got engaged within the activities proposed as I took videos, songs; asked them to do class surveys; and for the last lesson, I asked them to do "a flower pot" project.
So, students were motivated and willing to work during my lessons.
Finally, I may say that despite at the beginning of the period I was really nervous, I really enjoyed working with this group of students. It was absolutely a rewarding experience!
