I'm the kind of person that when doing something, I put all my effort to do it as best as possible. The same happens when teaching. I always try to do the best I can, and that involves lot of pressure from myself too. Some of what I consider teaching responsibilities are, planning my lessons beforehand, thinking on my students' needs and preferences, and selecting material appealing to them.
Besides, I always try to build friendly relationships with my students and comfortable atmospheres, so that all of us can enjoy every lesson. Of course, sometimes students are a bit difficult, and lessons aren't so beautiful as they sound. But I always try to highlight the importance of respect and values between students, as well as, between students and me.
I think that values are the basis of people's relationships so I always try to plan lessons where values are the topic of discussion. Generally, I do that when meeting a new group of students and when different situations let me.
Finally, other aspect that I consider one of my teaching responsibilities is to help students become autonomous learners and succeed in what they are doing. For that, I always try to help them increase their self esteem, confidence and let them know that all of us have the same possibilities when doing something, if we do it consciously, responsibly, and with effort.
